What we want to acomplish in the first 3 years of this project in the cities of Taguig, Cebu, Mandaue and Bohol province:
We hold local and (inter)national politicians, welfare organizations and the business community accountable for their responsibility to protect children.
ADDRESSING
INFLUENTIAL PLAYERS
We teach government employees and aid workers to work together, so that they can help and refer victims better. Victims of online sexual exploitation are given access to psychosocial assistance, legal support, education and healthcare.
STRENGTHEN
LOCAL AUTHORITIES
We use training and information to warn children against sexual exploitation via the internet. They learn to stand up for their rights and know where to get help. We also train them in how to protect other children against online dangers. We inform their parents about children's rights, safe internet use and the protection of their children.
TRAINING ONLINE
SAFETLY
Vulnerable children and victims of online sexual exploitation will receive extra protection. We pay their school fees and school materials so that they go to school safely. Their families receive assistance with their livelihoods and income.

In the Philippines, 1 in 5 children between the ages of 12 and 17 is a victim of online sexual abuse. Children feel compelled to take their clothes off online because they are poor and receive money for it. Or because they are being blackmailed. With our new action plan we want to prevent these kinds of abuse and give victims a better future.

- We train children in how to arm themselves against abuse and exploitation.
- We teach children how to protect other children from online dangers.
- We make sure that children go to school and can choose a profession that makes them happy.
- We help victims of online sexual abuse to build a new future.
- We promote cooperation between local authorities, schools, social workers and parents, so that they can better recognize and fight online exploitation.

The number of Filipino children that have been sexually exploited online has tripled in the past 3 years and continues to grow rapidly. For example, children are forced to perform sexual acts via social media. They are often not aware of the dangers online or have to earn their money through poverty. This traumatic experience can lead to severe mental problems, a negative self-image, depression and even suicide.
